Bry T wrote a review Nov It was OK. Had a parlor suite, it was nothing special just extra room. Dark, not much light, clean, very comfy bed.
COVID made it affordable, but I would never pay full price for that room, really not worth it. Nothing operating normal due to COVID.

Just a great resort. I came to the Golden Nugget with some friends to celebrate a 50th birthday. This place is way bigger than you think.
The hotel is very clean. It has everything you need from several restaurants, shops and a Spa. Staff was always friendly and helpful.
My only complaint is the bed - time for a new mattress and pillows. And a coffee maker would have been nice too. But Starbucks is right on site.
Masks are mandatory. Jennifer T wrote a review Nov Will never go back. They are rude!!!!! I have never in my life been told to shut up by my husband much less a manager from a casino still waiting to be contacted on this issue!!!!!

There were quite a few restaurants to eat at. There are six restaurants and Tony Romas across the street. Also no fridge in room.
We stayed at the Gold Tower section and we had a view of the pool but the rooms across the hall have views of the strip. Frankly I prefer a pool view!!!

We stayed there back in August, and they were limiting guest capacity to the pool area on a first come, first serve basis, due to COVID restrictions, and there were often long waits.

This high-rise hotel features 1, elegantly designed rooms and is located in the heart of the Fremont Street Experience. Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino is eight miles from the McCarran International Airport.
Located on East Fremont Street, it is one of the most famous hotels in Las Vegas and part of the Fremont Street Experience. Guests are surrounded by many excellent shops, casinos, restaurants, and nightclubs.
Guests can see the world's largest golden nugget on display, weighing in at 61 pounds. There are many on-site restaurants that serve everything from seafood to American specialties.
The Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino is the ideal hotel for travelers looking to experience one of the best hotels in the city. Extra beds are dependent on the room you choose.
Please check the individual room capacity for more details. We were at the Golden Nugget for a reunion and thouroughly enjoyed it. The hotel room we were given was very nice and at a reasonable price.
When we walked through the pool area we were amazed with private cabanas, waterfalls and even a waterslide through a giant aquarium filled with ocean fish.
The casino is very beautiful and not overly smoky. When you walk out the front doors of the casino you are right on Fremont Street.
What an experience that was, sounds and lights everywhere and even a Knight Rider Car show. I would reccomend this hotel to anyone who wishes to stay downtown Las Vegas.
The Golden Nugget was a unique experience for our group. Previously we had all stayed in Strip hotels, and as I expected, Fremont Street and the Golden Nugget were laid back and perfect for us.
The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The front desk staff, bellman, and housekeepers were all very friendly and helpful. The Noodle House restaurant had some of the best Asian food my family has had, including the sushi.
I was a bit put off by the charges for things that at other hotels in other cities were complimentary. Such as USA Today, use of the hotel fitness center, and internet service.
In this economy, it seems a daily newspaper could have been included. I would also suggest that the hotel is actually sending their guests screaming in terror at the thought of sitting through the Gordie Brown Show.
After 5 days at the Golden Nugget, riding the elevators with the continuous video loop of Gordie highlights, his show was the last thing our family wanted to see.
Mostly though, we would highly recommend the Golden Nugget to our friends! We had an excellent stay at the Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino.
Food was outstanding at the sit down and Habachi restaurant. Make sure to ask for Kong!! He is a riot. Excellent activities and night life at the hotel and on Fremont street.
Our room was actually quite dated. AC was very loud and didn't work well. Our bathtub was also rusty, moldy, and wouldn't drain.
Definitely not what I would have expected having paid for an "upgrade" in the Carson Tower. This was my first time, and my family's first time staying the Golden Nugget.
The staff was helpful at check in, the room was basic but met our needs completely. We ate at the buffet twice, once for lunch and once for breakfast, and the food and the selections were excellent.
The pool area was the highlight. There is an aquarium that you can swim up to and look in, and there is a slide that goes through the aquarium.
We ordered snacks and drinks and they brought him right to our loungers and you can also play some of the card games at the pool area.
The hotel is on Fremont Street. There are plenty of things to look at and do there. We were there on a Tuesday and Wednesday night, so not too many weirdos were out, but still enough to have good people watching.
I am a local of Las Vegas. Whenever I stay on Fremont Street, I choose The Golden Nugget! It is great value, and parking is free with room key.
Staff is friendly and efficient. Will definitely stay there again, and recommend to my friends! My stay at the Golden Nugget Hotel in Las Vegas was truly wonderful.
The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. The rooms were very clean and the bed was so comfortable. I love the downtown area. The light show and the free style musicians are a must to see and experience.
I will always go back to the Golden Nugget when in Las Vegas. I have stayed at the golden nugget many times before, however, this time I loved the changes that were made.
The entire hotel and casino in my opinion became totally first class over and beyond the surrounding hotels and even better than alot of hotels on the strip.
Some of the hotels on the strip are now showing their wear and soon need to do some re-modeling as you did with the golden nugget.
I guess now you have the up-town class with the down-town flavor. The service were always great in my opinion and also got even better.
When i checked in, the desk personel were busy with other costomers. The hotel manager actually came over to help and took me over to the prioty desk who were't busy at the tlme and expedited my check in.
That I thought was doing alittle extra and using alot of sense. I'm a worried wart when it comes to booking hotels; my home for the week needs to be clean, comfy and the water pressure in the shower can't be a trickle with my long hair it'd take forever to wash!
All my worries faded staying at the Golden Nugget: check-in was a breeze with no hiccups and my requests were accommodated, the hotel is really clean I witnessed the hotel staff cleaning nightly and most hotel staff are friendly.
WHEN I come back, Golden Nugget will be my hotel of choice! The decor and facilites of the hotel were nice.
The center piece of the hotel is its swimming pool and large aquarium that holds sharks other giant fish. There is a decent buffet restaurant within the hotel and the hotel is located on Fremont Street where all the Downtown action is.
Minor issues with the room were cigarette smell from the air conditioner in what was supposed to be a non-smoking room; mold in the bathroom; half-used lotion bottle; excessive wait for parking elevators.
First of all let me say, I have been to Vegas times but never stayed downtown. We come out every first weekend of December with a group of contractors and this year it was suggested we stay downtown.
I was against it but went along with the group. We decided on the Nugget and couldn't be happier. I will definately be staying there on all of my future trips.
It was inviting from the time we checked in on Friday morning. That was the first pleasant surprise, we were able to check in in the morning and not have to wait till later in the afternoon.
Now maybe this wouldn't be possible if there were more things going on some other visit but it sure was nice.
The rooms were spacious and more importantly, very clean. I also like the multiple choices of places throughout the casino to grab a snack or cup of coffee.
I felt the blackjack dealers I encountered were very friendly and when I placed football bets in the sports book, the staff handed me some complimentary drink tickets which is huge.
Overall it was a great experience and as I said earlier, I will be staying there in the future. The room was clean, decorated for relaxing, very comfortable.
We especially enjoyed our dinner at Lillies Asian Cuisine Restaurant. Loved the appetizer platter, and we were served beautifully by a Chinese man who spent time chatting with us.
We enjoyed it so much, we went back again the following night! Tne casino was full of many different areas to truly have fun, in addition to being open to the street that has a huge cover with video presentations and is open to strolling to take in the sidewalk entertainers and music.
Best hotel in downtown Las Vegas! We have stayed at several hotels in Vegas, mainly on the strip, and just discovered the Golden Nugget.
Now this hotel is at the top of our lodging list for our frequent Vegas visits. It's a great place, not too big and crowded in a perfect location for fun and very customer friendly.
Thank you! Goldern Nugget hotel was one of oldest hotel in Las Vegas which just right on the Fremont street , if you want to get experience of old downtown LV which is one of the best hotel you should pick , you should go out at night time and enjoy the street party and the biggest LED screen on top of the street..
The Golden Nugget is good value for money. For one night in the old town area of Vegas you can't go wrong. There are good eating options from buffet to Starbucks to Cantonese.
It's nice to be able to walk out the door onto traffic free Fremont street. We arrived at approx 4pm and the check-in queue was long, we waited at least 30mins.
Lilies the Cantonese restaurant we ate in was very good. The breakfast buffet is cheap but don't expect good food. There is a lot of food but the quality isn't great - I guess you get what you pay for.
Good I will stay there again and possibly each time I visit from this point forward. I would hope there would be an "express" check in line to eliminate the considerable wait in line to check in.
The "deuce" was very convenient for me to travel from the Golden Nugget to the strip. Did not have to move my car but twice to go to the gym and have dinner with fraternity members in the community of Vegas.
It was relaxing, and the pool was nice for kids. It's not an extremely large pool, but it does have a cool water slide that goes through a shark tank.
Younger kids would really enjoy it. It was nice to be away from the busy section of the Strip, but is just a brief car trip from the newer casinos.
Traffic was very light around the golden nugget and the parking was convenient. The room was comfortable and had a large TV.
It was clean and is right on the Fremont Street Experience. This is our second stay at the Golden Nugget and we will be back again. The rooms are clean, the hotel is clean, the staff extremely attentive and polite plus Freemont St.
The Nugget offers everything the so called upscale hotels on the strip do at a much more reasonable price along with all the appropriate or same trimmings.
If you want to go to the strip it is a 10 minute drive or 20 minute bus ride. We had such a good time in our four days there we never went up to the strip.
Bravo you guys do it right. Very nice hotel on Fremont.
